    American blues singer, born March 15, 1905 in Charleston, South Carolina, died May 7, 1950 in New York City, New York (traffic accident). Hill recorded for OKeh in 1925-1927, for Vocalion in 1928-1929, and again for Circle in 1946-1947. A handful of radio broadcasts from 1947 has also been released.
